Her research interests mainly center around film and media culture in the Philippines. She has published in numerous academic journals about this work, exploring themes like power dynamics and transcultural collaboration. Working alongside individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds was key in giving her a new perspective when researching and writing about films.
Since 2015, she has also been working on Get with the Program, a social enterprise which uses interactive theatre to teach coding to children aged 5-11 years old. Recently nominated for an 'Everywoman Tech for Good' award, Get with the Program is dedicated to making STEM education available and accessible regardless of background or resources - its ultimate aim being reaching as many children as possible.
